About
Meet Bill.
I've spent my whole life drawn to artistry. All kinds of it. Great work inspires me, and I've carried that into everything I've ever done.
I started in traditional painting, every type of it, and over the years I found myself pulled toward the finishes that let me blend my skill with something I truly love. Wood, stain, glaze, plaster. The surfaces that give a home its character. That wasn't a career move. It was me finding the work I was meant to do.

I've been in this business well over 50 years now, most of it in Colorado. The homes of Cherry Creek, Castle Pines, Vail, Aspen, and so many other communities have given me some of the greatest challenges and greatest gifts an artist could ask for. Cabinetry, doors, staircases, built-ins, furniture that deserved a second life, and the decorative and Venetian plaster work that turns a ceiling into a centerpiece.
Fifty years in, the fascination hasn't worn off. That's how I know this was never just a trade.
The difference
What sets the work apart.
People sometimes ask what makes my work different. It comes down to this: I don't just put paint or stain on a surface. I understand it.
Over fifty years I've painted about everything there is to paint. Home exteriors and interiors. Crews working under me. Military parts, where a coating is spec'd to the millimeter and there is no such thing as close enough. You either make the finish sit, dry, and look exactly as it was written, or you do it again. That discipline never leaves you. It walks into every home with me.
I have manufacturers I trust after all these years, and I also use what the job requires. If you understand the finish, the job tells you what it needs.
These days, it's all me. Every surface, every coat, my hands. And I'll tell you something else: I don't have clients. I have friends whose homes I get to work in. The work has to be done right, and it has to be a joy to do. I've learned not to accept anything less on either count.
There's a phrase people who know me have heard a hundred times, because I say it about a good conversation, a job well done, a meal, the fall colors in the mountains:
“This is like honey to my soul.”
This work, after all these years, is still exactly that.
